Sizing Information

The width of the boots is “medium” or C/D width. We suggest using the size chart to choose a size based upon your US shoe size, or of course choose the European size you wear if you know it. If if you are between sizes, I’d suggest the larger.

Our Two Cents

In trying on these new Dainese Dinamica D-WP shoes I’m pleasantly surprised. Just looking at the pictures, they don’t give the impression of being particularly sturdy, but when you try them on the feel the reinforcements and armor, they give a lot of confidence.

All around the heel area and up the sides of the ankle these boots are reinforced with internal parts. It’s much more than just a round insert on the anklebone… it’s more like a one-piece integrated armor setup. And there is also reinforcement in the toe area too. The end of the toe has the usual rubber/plastic protector where the shifter will hit. The sole of this style is reinforced too. There is plenty of stiffness to bear weight on the pegs.

The overall “style” of the boot is definitely sport with a low profile look, which will work with any type of bike (but specifically works on sport bikes).

The boots are fitted with a waterproof liner so they’ll work in rain. Keep in mind though that the waterproofing in a short boot like this will only be as good as the pants you have over the top. Taller boots will be more effective with all kinds of waterproof pants, but with a short boot like this, you need to have pants that will be long enough and fit close enough to your lower leg to keep water from coming in the top of the boot.

A short style like this will be favored by those that want some usability off the bike. Even though these boots have significant armor they are pretty comfortable to walk in… certainly more comfortable than an armored race boot. The insides are well padded and the rear entry setup is easy to work with.

These boots definitely have more protection to offer than the average short sport boot. I like them. :: Paul, 02-07-18
