Sizing Information

We’ve always been able to say that Tour Master/Cortech gloves fit “normally”, that is to say much like other US brands of motorcycle gloves, but these gloves are running small. I’d say they run about one half to one size smaller than other gloves. I’d recommend you buy one size larger than you normally choose based on your experience with glove brands like Joe Rocket, other Cortech/Tour Master, etc. If you know your size in European brands such as Alpinestars or REVIT, buy the same size in this glove (since those brands generally run snug).

If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help. Buy one size larger than you get from measuring and using this advice.

Our Two Cents

I’ve got two new gloves to review today… the Roughneck and the VERY similar Heckler glove. I’m looking at the Cafe Brown color in each. The two gloves are very similar. The Roughneck has a slightly longer gauntlet and a bit more of the raised padding and the Heckler has less. Basically, one is just slightly more sporty in appearance and one is more simple and a bit more lightweight in the protection department. The padded areas on the gloves are simple foam and not “armor” as such, so those looking for a highly protective glove should consider other styles. But for those who just want a nice looking comfortable leather glove with a little bit of protection, then these will fit the bill.

The styling of these gloves is a great “all genre” style. They’d look good on a street sport bike as well as a cruiser, and of course on any sort of retro style, such as a Scrambler or Bonneville (or similar). Just pretty much an “all purpose” glove, and especially so in black. The brown points more to the vintage crowd but the black is universal.

These gloves are made of medium weight leather and are lined with a soft tricot nylon material. They are neither insulated or vented, so consider these for the “mild” months of year. They’d probably do OK in warm weather, but probably not so great in really hot weather. Be sure and heed the sizing advice above… they run a bit snug. :: Paul, 02-06-17
