Sizing Information
We measured a selection of these jackets and also tried them on our Fit Check mannequins Huey and Dewey to see how they fit (Huey is in a Euro 52 and Dewey is in a 56) and they both look great. The overall fit is consistent with other European sized jacket we sell such as Alpinestars and REVIT.
This product is sold in European sizes. Generally speaking, the US chest size in inches is equivalent to roughly 10 points less than the European jacket size. Example: a 56 Euro jacket is similar to a size 46/XL men’s US size. To choose a size in this jacket, I’d suggest you measure yourself with a tape and get your chest size and belly size, then use the size chart to pick the smallest size jacket that will be big enough for both your chest and belly using the chart below. Approximate US alpha sizes are also listed in the chart so you can check if the jacket size you choose is the same alpha size as you normally wear in men’s clothing.
Sizing tips for upgrading armor: If you plan to add a back protector add 1” to your measured chest/belly size before using the size chart. If you plan to add chest armor, add another inch.
The overall cut of this particular style jacket is more relaxed than more sport oriented jackets. Its more of a “street cut” so it will be an easy fit for most and comfortable to wear. The only thing I thought I should mention is that the sleeves are fairly trim, so those with average arm bulk or skinnier types will do fine with this style, but if you are bulky in the arms, then this jacket probably wouldn’t be a fit.

Our Two Cents
The Dianese Air Master jacket offers sport styling in a mostly-mesh jacket for hot summer use. You’ll get more armor option than with most Dainese jacket in this one.
This jacket is mostly a mesh jacket. The mesh material is a finer weave and the material feels more sturdy than many looser weave mesh fabrics. It has a sharp, unwrinkled look. The mesh will flow a lot of air so this jacket will be ideal for hot weather. You can layer under it with your own undergarments and lower the usable temp range some, so its best weather range will be cool to hot weather. This jacket does not have any waterproofing features, so you’ll need a rain jacket over if you get into a rain.
The overall fit is easy and comfortable. The weight of the basic jacket is very light. The shouder and elbow areas are overlayed with solid textile material that will beef up the abrasion resistance characteristics in those crash prone areas. Also the shoulder area of this jacket has an extra external hard armor piece sewn in to beef up the impact protection. The armor in the shoulders and elbows is a light weight hard plastic over foam type that has been around for years. It works well and is very comfortable. If you add a back protector and chest pads, the crash protection package will be pretty darn beefy as compared to most summer mesh styles. The chest armor is the Pro Armor style and so I’d recommend the matching Pro Armor back pad for this jacket. The Pro Armor stuff has LOTS of holes in it, so it won’t hinder air flow as much as the Manis or Wave styles, but all will fit and the choice is yours.
I personally think the overall look of this jacket is worth the few extra bucks. The styling is sharp and the materials are a bit better. :: Paul, 08-06-18
Dainese says: D-Synth 350 fabric along with tightly woven high tenacity mesh provides abrasion resistance. Add in an optional back protector and a double chest protector (sold separately) for complete protection. The cargo pocket on the back of the jacket is the perfect place to stow rain gear to keep you riding through the rain. The Dainese Air Master Jacket keeps riders cool both literally and figuratively.
