Sizing Information

My advice on this shirt would be to choose the size you normally wear in shirts for a snug fit (like stretchy workout wear fits). I don’t find these shirts to be “compression” but they certainly don’t fit loose like a normal tee shirt. When in doubt, choose the larger. And if you just want to skip the athletic cut thing all together, buy one size bigger than you normally do.

Our Two Cents

For 2016, FirstGear has re-worked its entire line of Basegear underwear. The new line is all called 37.5 Basegear. What the heck is that you ask? The Basegear line is designed to make you more comfortable when riding by controlling the “micro climate” that exists under your clothing next to the skin. The material wicks moisture and controls humidity, and FirstGear says that humans are most comfortable with a relative humidity close to the skin of 37.5%. So there you go…. the origin of the name. These 37.5 shirts, both long and short sleeve, are made of a “waffle weave” material that is stretchy and feels nice. Both have flat-lock seams so they are comfortable under your clothes. In the black/blue color, they have sort of a Tron look, and will even look more Tron if you buy the pants too! :: 11-04-15
